Administrative Assistant (Twinsburg)

NMS, Inc. is looking for a responsible, highly organized front desk administrative assistant, a new member of our team that will be friendly and outgoing with great people skills - this is the first impression our clients will have when walking in our door! Experience in an accounting firm is a plus, as this position will involve packing and e-filing tax returns in addition to providing administrative support to managers and staff, and managing the general clerical tasks. Training will be provided. We offer a great working environment with lots of potential for growth.

Job type: Full-time, Monday-Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Plus some Saturdays and overtime during tax season (January 15-April 15)

Job includes:

General clerical duties

Answering client phone calls and taking messages

Coordinating and scheduling appointments for staff members

Receiving and assigning tax returns to staff members

Assembling tax returns when completed

Electronic Filing of completed tax returns

Photocopying, faxing, scanning, mail distribution and filing

 Coordinates and maintains records for various office operations

Ordering office supplies

Experience required (skills, knowledge and abilities):

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite

Exceptional typing and computer skills

Prior experience working in an office environment

Attention to detail and ability to multi-task

Education: High school diploma or equivalent

Working conditions: Position requires sitting, walking, bending, stooping and talking in an office environment. Work is performed in a general office environment using business office equipment. Travel, if required between offices, is minimal.

Salary: $13 to $17 per hour

Qualifications: college degree with a major in accounting (150+ hours), be a CPA or a CPA candidate and have 2-7 years’ experience in public accounting

Have strong written and oral communication skills

Manage profitability of projects

Identify and be able to research technical tax matters and the impact clients tax position

Be able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks while working individually or with a team

Ensure professional development through ongoing education

Have excellent computer skills including experience with the Microsoft Office Suite, QuickBooks, Ultra Tax, and the Thomson Reuters CS Suite
